New to us this year is this the Kingfisher Daisy, an electric purple/blue annual beauty that should nicely seed the crap out of the area where it is planted:
Don’t let the package fool you, 6″ tall might be the norm in temperate climates, but this thing is about a foot tall at the moment, and I suspect the imminent rainy season might inspire it to further heights. Or, melt it where it sits. *sigh*

Can you put a tomato cage around it to give it some support during the hardest rains?

@Karen:
It’s not support, it’s sheer amount of water. Those freak rains we got a couple of weeks ago caused massive death in a good many of my bloomers, overwatering causing root rot. Just have to cut them back and hope they resprout.

Loves dem! Another addition that I need, especially since I lost my beloved lavender to the damn rain & root rot. Stupid rolly pollies (sp?) were feasting on its dead roots.
