Today’s bloom is one you’ve seen often around here, the Ming Toy Daylily:
It’s odd that two colors I find excruciating together in anything else can be so very mouthwatering in a plant.

I know exactly what you mean about those two colors together. BLECH. But in that daylily, it’s, wow, awesome. It really is.
A while ago someone gave me a FREE hanging basket live-plant arrangement with JUST those two colors in it and I kinda winced but hell, it was free. Soon as I got home I yanked all of the one color out and it was fine. Uh oh, now the whole internet knows.
