After feeding the irises, feeding the daylilies, feeding everything else, weeding, spraying the daylilies for aphids, severely pruning the huge front porch ficus, and transplanting a multitude of flower starts, I am decidedly uninterested in posting a Bloom of the Day. So here’s 3 lbs 2 oz of carrots harvested today instead:

What type and where do you buy your carrot seeds.I live in Fl.as well and I would like to try what you suggest and grow in spite of the guides.Thanks Kristin

I grew carrots like those last year and enjoyed them very much. I like the rainbow colors in a salad.

@keewee: We are finding the white carrots to be wonderful when added to a soup/dish. They don’t impart too much sweetness, as orange carrots do, instead give a wonderful spiciness.

They are blooms in their own right!! Looks pretty, all the colors.
