Carrots are one vegetable the entire family agrees on, which is exactly why we have 10 varieties growing right now. We know we love Purple Dragon, and Hercules is quite tasty. Today’s harvest is the Kinko Mini, which only gets about four inches long:
That’s a good 10 oz of carrots there. The flavor is very nice, sweet without the acridity that some varieties have in spades. And, trimmed and washed, it makes a nice subject for the artsy fartsy shots, too:

Gorgeous carrots. I’m hoping to get my first harvest of greens in about a month.

You must be in a quite cooler place than us, then, our greens bolted about a month ago. Ah, yes, Boston, MA, I imagine you can have greens all year!
