Yesterday the creativeness overtook me and I did some experimenting with f-stops, apertures, all aided by my beloved Manfrotto tripod. The results, which I’m rather happy with, are below.

The photos are lovely! We were given some of those peppers by a friend who had an abundance and wow, what a heat they pack!

Er, forgot about them on a paper plate on the kitchen island…which is right in front of a very sunny afternoon window.
I have previously (on purpose) dried ancho peppers in a 200 degree oven, prop it open so air can flow and so it keeps a steady temp. But for these smaller peppers, sun drying seems to work pretty quickly. The only trick is to remove moisture at a fast enough rate to keep them from rotting.
