Rain, Rain

Oy vey, the rain. We love the rain, we do, but it’d be ever so much nicer if we could both schedule and limit it. Every day, 3:30PM, for thirty minutes. Thank you, move along now clouds.

But nooo, we have 3 solid hours of rain…AFTER I’ve frickin’ watered, no less.

The watermelon vines have fungus, the madeira daisy is rotting in the ground, and whiteflies are on EVERYTHING.

SIGH.

Just some moderation, that’s all I’m asking for.

Gah! You really ought to warn us when you’re gonna have an up-close of a spider like that first thing in the morning! She is beautiful, though.

I feel your pain. Several years ago, I had to throw away a welcome mat because it grew algae just from being outside.

@Caitlin: That is one of the spiders that actually gives me the wiggins. It’s just so…aggressive.

Know those jute welcome mats that are so cute? Can’t have ‘em. They absolutely have to be rubber down here. And even then, my back door mat is growing weeds in between the squares.

Come now, you know better than to expect healthy melons, cukes, or pumpkins in the summer. Downy mildew is their middle name.

Aw, I think the spider is sweet! Look at those legs with the little pink splotches and the freckles! Reminds me of a bathroom remodel I saw on tv yesterday, LOL, 50s color, the same green and lots of clear plastic like the legs with black trim!
