I like to stay away from rude people rather than confront them directly, as once I'm in a lather I stay that way all day. Violent Acres? It <em>is</em> absolutely rude. I don't even have caller ID. I like guessing, and I have an answering machine for when I don't feel like answering the phone. And if no one leaves a message, well, they'll call back or they won't. Whatever. I also hate it (as happened a couple of weeks ago) when someone calls me, realizes that perhaps they've got a wrong number, and after I say "hello," they say, "Who is this?" My response is always, "YOU called ME. Who the hell is this?" Don't even get me start on the xtians who knock on my door about once a month. I've managed to be firm but polite so far, but I consider coming to my house uninvited to tell me about your religion is the height of rudeness. The older I get, the less patience I have with rudeness. *applause*
