Who needs expensive frippery? Give me growing things any day. (And of course a hella nice camera with which to photograph them!)
That third photo down, we had some of those last year, and I’ll see if I can remember what they were. I actually identified it, and it’s a… it’s a… shit. I’ll think of it.
@Caitlin:
Balloon flower? No, not pointy-tipped enough… Whatever it is, I bloody well want more of it. It is absolutely gorgeous, and I’m afraid the zinnias are going to attack it with twigs and pebbles one dark night…
well I don’t know what any of them are – but they are absolutely gorgeous.
Nice pictures. Can’t help identify the flower. Sorry. Welcome to Blotanical.

ITS A SALVIA!! (Sorry, I get excited when I know the answer . . .) You can see mine here: http://wickedgardener.blogspot.com/2008/04/seeds.html
BTW: I’d love to trade seeds if you are interested.
@Wicked Gardener: Sure, if you’ll tell me how/when to harvest them. 🙂
Hi Stacy, Thanks so much for stopping by my blog and adding it to your favorites. I LOVE your pictures and my hubby is very jealous of your Zinnias.
@Lisa in CA: Tell him zinnias are dead easy. Throw down some seeds, spit on them, and quickly stand back. 🙂
Great pictures!
You are too funny! I will tell him.
