I liked Kira for the same reason. It's so boring when the smooshy, we all love each other soooo much crap sets in. The only sign of his reluctant humanity seemed to be his relationship with Dax. (I thought the son was utterly unnecessary, too.) /geek (you knew better, really...) And yes, blatant entrapment.
